Description

Klaus Voormann’s graphic novel about the creation of the legendary cover artwork for the Beatles’ album REVOLVER was first published as the centerpiece of his 2016 book Birth of an Icon: REVOLVER 50. As a standalone 48-page volume titled ICONIC, the graphic novel was released in November 2023 and sold out within just a few months.

Due to overwhelming demand, the graphic novel is now being reissued as a hardcover edition (English language) with a completely new layout and expanded to 60 interior pages. The new title is ICONIC 60.

In addition to the illustrated story of how the Revolver album cover came to life, the book features further illustrated narratives, photographs, artwork, and previously unpublished sketches.

Also included is a special print of the original Revolver album cover artwork.

Quote from Paul McCartney:

“His skills as an artist were first explored by our band for the cover of the Revolver album. His  work was spot on and fitted precisely with what we were doing at the time“.

Paul McCartney, October 2022

Quote from Ringo Starr:

„… I would like to thank my friend for the cover of Revolver. Incredible! And now he‘s doing a book that will show us the many moves he made to end up with that great cover…

… I can only say I love you man. It‘s always great when we get together in LA…

Take care my friend. I send you Peace and Love,

Ringo, yeah Ringo.“

Ringo Starr, October 2022
